Fennel: Bring on the Licorice!

There are 2 different types of fennel. Florence Fennel is more like a vegetable with a bulb base than can be sliced and added to salads, entrees, etc. The other variety is more like an herb. Both varieties can be completely eaten: seeds, fronds, stems and base. Fennel has a light licorice flavor so it adds a subtle flavor perk to whatever your whippin' up.
