We're starting to head into the peak of the growing season when all the veggies should be in their prime. Unfortunately the wet weather we've been having has made this growing season a challenge for farmers overall. Typically, rain would be a welcome friend. But too much rain makes soil conditions less than optimal for most vegetables and spices. While our tomatoes are growing strong, blight has set in and is creeping up the plants. Peppers are shedding their lower leaves (peppers LOVE hot dry weather),...even the zucchini (which will grow anywhere, anytime) is having a tough go with the soupy soil.
