Countdown to Freshness!!

We've been a bit 'missing in action' on our blog posts lately but all for a very good reason. We've been planting. Lots and lots of planting! Last year we doubled the size of our planting area but Mother Nature's extra buckets of rainfall in the Spring of 2017 prevented us from planting the new plot. Fast forward to this year, and Mother Nature has blessed us with far more suitable planting conditions. We have lots of newcomers this year--scallop, straightneck and gray summer squash, shishito peppers, brussel sprouts, brightlights chard, watermelon, cantaloupe...just to name a few!!

Depending on how the veggies make their grand entrance, we're expecting to start the 2018 share the first week of July. While it's a bit of a later start, your 15 week vegetable share will provide a great multi-season bounty including warmer weather crops like tomatoes and peppers along with cooler crops like winter squash.
